    • [[Alan Turing]] in 1936 proved that a general algorithm to solve this problem for all program-input pairs is not possible
    • This proof is contingent on the mathematical definition of a computer and program - [[Turing Machine]]
  • Built a infinitely powerful computer and ran a universe simulator
    • Found themselves in the simulated universe and realized they are also simulating another universe
    • Reminds me of Rick and Morty when Rick built a universe to power the engines of his vehicle
  • They realized they are more likely to be in a chain of quantum universe simulator rather than the one that's at the top
    • But at some point down the chain of quantum universe simulation, they reach equilibrium between the various levels where each universe behaves exactly like the one below and above
