    • The combination of selection bias (choosing the examples that works for our theory), confirmation bias (valuing the examples that validates our theory and disregarding anything that doesn't), law of big numbers (given enough data points we can draw connection on anything), and law of close enough (we don't need to be exactly the same to consider two things the same) compels us to see random things as coincidences
