- A infrared telescope that has longer wavelength coverage and improved sensitivity than the Hubble, which was more optical and UV based

- The mirror unfolds like a honeycomb in space which means that repairs will be very difficult

- It doesn't seem to have any practical use-cases but it is actually functionality complete which is a huge advantage for manufacturing
